VISIONLAND NAMES MAJOR NEW ATTRACTION
FOR THE 1999 SEASON

Manufacturer chosen to build new ride

VisionLand Theme Park selected Luxembourg based FAB to design and construct its new ride for the1999 operating season. The new rapid river ride will be called "Wild River Gorge," and will be placed in the wooded area in Celebration Park near the Pepsi Pavilion.
VisionLand's new "Wild River Gorge" ride will reflect the growing popularity of white water rafting enjoyed in the rivers of Alabama. Guests can experience the fun, thrills, and excitement of riding down a river with white water rapids and other special effects such as waterfalls, geysers and a whirlpool.

Throughout the journey, the current of the water will propel the six passenger boats, creating a realistic experience. The ride will operate through the entire regular operating season, and can accommodate about 1,200 guests per hour. Ride time is approximately 3 minutes and 20 seconds, and the river course is approximately 1500 feet long.

"FAB has 15 years of ride experience and offered some unique elements that we felt that our guests would enjoy," said Rob Langford, VisionLand's General Manager.

Ride construction is expected to be completed by theJuly 4th weekend. For more information, call or send us an email.
