Eight courageous dads proved their might in VisionLands Strong Man Contest this past Fathers Day. These contestants didnt know what they were in for!!
What began with a simple game of Tug-of-War only got harder. The second event was a Wheelbarrow Race, and contestants found it tough to keep the wheelbarrows from tipping over. The Crucifix followed. In this event, our family men held out two water barrels at shoulder height for as long as they could. Just when the contestants thought it couldnt get any worse, came the Dumbbell Walk. Each man carried two 150-pound dumbbells until they could walk no more. The person with the longest distance got the most points.
Our First Place winner was Bob Vessels, a professional heavyweight lifter. He was awarded a 5-year membership to Powerhouse Gym and a goody bag from VisionLand and Hot 97.3. Second Place went to Shane Coggins. Shane was awarded a 2-year membership to Powerhouse Gym, Golden Flake coupons, and t-shirts from VisionLand and Hot 97.3. Third place was awarded to Terry Bailey. He received a one-year Gym membership and t-shirts from VisionLand and Hot 97.3.
